A delicate teddy in a milky color with a fluffy emerald hat — a very warm, "homey" look that immediately brings a smile. The combination of the smooth body fabric and the textured "eyelash" yarn in the accessories looks pleasing: the toy turned out lively and interesting to the touch. The placement of the parts is generally successful, the face is expressive thanks to the eyes and a neat nose. There is a small homemade feel in the symmetry of the paws and overall shaping, but overall the work is tidy and presented sweetly.

Knitting method and techniques

Main parts of the toy are knitted with needles from smooth yarn in stockinette stitch: separate elements (body, head, paws) with shaping by increases and decreases (classic right-/left-leaning decreases for a smoother line). After knitting, the pieces are firmly stuffed with synthetic filling and assembled by hand sewing, optimally with a mattress stitch so the seam looks neat and does not create a "step". The face is finished with findings: safety eyes and a nose (or a sewn decorative element). For greater expressiveness, face shaping by tacking is appropriate: pulling strong thread between points under the eyes and at the nose can form slight indentations and give a more "alive" expression. The hat and ties are made from textured "eyelash"-type yarn (its pile hides the stitches), so controlling gauge and a stable edge is more important. A convenient option is crocheting single crochet rounds for a neat edge with even increases (beret/hat) and subsequent decreases for fit. Finishing: neatly hiding tails into the fabric, evening out stuffing (especially where the paws are sewn on), lightly fluffing the "eyelash" yarn pile and gentle steam finishing (blocking) without pressing, so as not to crush the texture.

Care instructions

Hand wash recommended at 30°C with a mild detergent. Do not rub or wring: gently press through a towel. Dry flat on a dry cloth, shaping the paws and hat. Do not dry on a radiator and do not use a hot iron; if necessary — light steaming from a distance, especially careful with "eyelash" yarn. Periodically fluff the pile with a soft brush. Check the security of eyes/nose during active play.
