Penguin Plombir 🐧

An adorable little penguin in a grey-lilac hat and long scarf — a warm, "winter" look with a cute cartoonish presentation. Neat stockinette on the white face holds its shape well, the eyes are set evenly and create an expressive gaze, the red beak provides a successful accent. Knitted accessories add volume and texture, the design reads immediately. There is some looseness/fluffiness on the black parts and slight unevenness in the stuffing, but overall the toy looks tidy and pleasant.

Knitting method and techniques

Knitted with knitting needles (stockinette stitch) followed by assembly and stuffing; accessories are also knitted.

Materials

• Black yarn (acrylic/half-wool), ~30–40 g
• White yarn (acrylic/half-wool), ~15–20 g
• Grey-lilac yarn for hat and scarf, ~20–30 g
• Small remnant of red yarn/felt for the beak, ~1–2 g
• Stuffing (hollowfibre/synthetic fill), ~20–30 g
• 2 plastic safety eyes (or sew-on eyes)
• Tapestry needle, scissors; knitting needles approx. 2.0–2.5 mm (adjust to gauge)

Care instructions

Hand wash at 30°C with a mild detergent, do not soak for long. Do not rub or wring — gently press through a towel. Dry flat, arranging the scarf and hat, away from heaters and direct sunlight. Do not iron; if necessary, lightly steam through a cloth at a distance. If there are safety eyes, avoid strong bending of the fabric around the attachment area.
