Forest Bunny 🐰

A good-natured bunny in a cozy grey-green overall immediately charms with a soft silhouette and a touching facial expression. The light knitted body is neatly shaped, the long ears frame the head nicely, and the contrasting eyes, eyebrows and oval nose give the toy character. The calm natural palette looks harmonious — creamy, sage and deep grey-green shades pair especially well. The main knitting is fairly even, however the decorative lacing of the overall appears heavy and in places untidy, slightly distracting from the good shape of the bunny itself.

Judging by the fabric structure, the toy is knitted on knitting needles mainly in stockinette stitch. The head is shaped with gradual increases and decreases, then firmly stuffed; the vertical line at the center indicates a mattress stitch or a similar joining seam. The long ears are made as separate symmetrical pieces, likely worked in short rows, and sewn to the crown. The front legs are also knitted separately, rounded by successive decreases. The legs and feet are shaped with widening at the lower part. Contrasting light-green sections create the effect of socks or shoes. The body pieces are assembled with an invisible seam, although in places the joins could be made less noticeable. The consistency of the knit stitches is generally good; small density fluctuations are visible near stuffing and attachment areas. The overall is knitted on needles from a thicker grey-green yarn. The main fabric is stockinette, while the lower edge and the top of some sections are secured with horizontal rows resembling garter stitch. The legs are separated and shaped individually. The front features a decorative lacing: thick cords threaded through the fabric and tied in loose knots. This element gives a rustic character but requires more even tension. The face is finished with ready-made safety eyes, a plastic nose and eyebrows embroidered with black thread. A pronounced green stitch under the nose marks the muzzle line. Final assembly includes firm stuffing, sewing on the limbs, ears and clothing, and securing ends inside the toy.

Hand wash gently at temperatures no higher than 30 °C with a liquid wool or delicate detergent. Do not soak for long, do not rub or wring. After rinsing, gently remove water by blotting between towels, reshape ears, limbs and clothing. Dry flat away from radiators and direct sunlight, turning occasionally. Do not tumble dry, bleach, or iron with high heat. Small stains are best removed locally with a damp cloth. Regularly check attachment of eyes, nose and decorative laces; if used by a child, trim and securely fasten any loose ends.
