Marshmallow Eared Bunny 🐰

A marshmallow-pink eared bunny wins hearts with its soft rounded silhouette, long ears and good-natured face. The stockinette texture forms pronounced vertical ribs, and the voluminous feet allow the toy to sit stably. A brown nose and blue eyes enliven the calm monochrome palette. The overall impression is warm and homely, although the asymmetry of the eyes, the difference in foot shapes and the visible seam lines slightly reduce the neatness of the finishing. The toy is made from pieces with a pronounced stockinette texture: vertical columns of stitches typical for knitting needles or machine knitting are visible on the surface. The head and torso have a simple rounded shape achieved by increases, straight sections and subsequent decreases. Judging by the noticeable side seams, the elements were knitted flat, then folded and joined with a mattress or whipstitch. After partial sewing the pieces are tightly stuffed with hollowfibre. The long ears were made separately. A denser edging or decorative joining stitch is visible along their edge, which stabilizes the fabric and prevents excessive curling. The upper limbs have an elongated shape with a gentle narrowing at the attachment point; the lower feet are formed to be voluminous and are sewn to the bottom of the body. Assembly was done with thread securing, however the attachment points and the difference in shape of paired parts remain noticeable. The face is finished with applied or secured eyes, a small voluminous nose and embroidered eyebrows. A tightening at the lower part of the head shapes the cheeks and separates the head from the body, but it is applied slightly unevenly. The main technique is not difficult but requires accurate counting of rows, consistent gauge for paired parts and careful distribution of stuffing. For a more professional result it is better to knit small elements in the round, use an invisible mattress stitch, mark facial feature positions with pins in advance and perform symmetrical tightening with a strong thread.

Hand wash gently at a temperature not above 30 °C with a liquid detergent for delicates. Do not soak the toy for long, do not rub or wring, especially around the eyes, nose and seams. After washing, gently blot with a terry towel, reshape the feet and ears, and restore the filler’s form. Dry flat away from radiators, heaters and direct sunlight, turning occasionally. Do not use bleach, machine spin or tumble dryer. For regular upkeep, use delicate cleaning with a soft brush or slightly damp cloth. Before giving to a child, regularly check the security of the eyes and nose attachments.
