Mustard Little Fox 🦊

A sunny mustard sweater with pronounced cables and vertical rib lanes that looks truly cozy and "expensive." The relief braids are knitted evenly, the pattern reads well, cuffs and hem are neatly finished in ribbing, and the sleeves appear softly gathered. The model is classic but very wearable: such texture can easily "elevate" even a plain piece and make it a wardrobe focal point.
Knitting method and techniques
Knitting needles; Aran cables (braids) on stockinette with vertical rib lanes; cuffs/hem/neck — ribbing.
Materials
- Yarn: half-wool or merino blended with acrylic (approx. 50–60% wool/merino, 40–50% acrylic), DK weight / about 200–250 m per 100 g, mustard color — ~300 g (for a child size).
- Circular/straight knitting needles US 4–6 (3.5–4.0 mm, depending on gauge), cable needle (or spare needle) for cables.
- Tapestry needle for seaming/weaving in ends, stitch markers.
Care instructions
Hand wash or machine wash on Wool/Delicate cycle at 20–30°C with wool detergent. Spin minimally (up to 400–600 rpm) or blot with a towel without wringing. Dry strictly flat on a level surface, arranging the cables and evening out shoulders/sleeves. Do not hang (will stretch). Steam only through a damp cloth, do not press the iron into the cable relief to avoid flattening the volume.
