Christening Cloud ☁️

A delicate baby set in a milky-cream shade that looks truly festive: a lacy bonnet with ruffles and a dress with a lacy yoke create a classic christening look. The fabric is even, the stockinette is clean, the lace reads neatly, the ruffle sits beautifully and adds volume. A light delicate sheen of the yarn enhances the dressiness, and the styling with cotton-branch motifs gives a sense of airiness and a premium presentation.
Knitting method and techniques
Knitting with needles: stockinette stitch + lace patterns, shaping the yoke and ruffles with decreases/increases, neat edge finishing, blocking.
Materials
- Baby yarn merino/blend (approx. 250–300 m/50 g), ivory/milk color — ~120–160 g for the dress + bonnet

- Circular/straight knitting needles No. 2.5–3.0 (according to gauge), double-pointed needles for edgings (optional)
- Stitch markers, yarn needle, scissors, measuring tape

Care instructions
Hand wash or machine on Wool/Delicate cycle at 20–30°C with a liquid wool detergent. Do not rub or wring — only gently press out wrapped in a towel. Dry strictly flat, shaping the lace and ruffles to measurements; do not dry on a radiator or hanger. Steam very gently; better to steam through a cloth without pressing; pin the lace into shape when blocking. Store folded, protect from snags.
