Lavender Fairy 🌸

A lavender outfit for a baby that looks festive and very cohesive: a lacy dress with a neat round yoke, matching bloomers, a bonnet and booties with bows. The fabric is even, the pattern reads well, increases and transitions on the yoke are done cleanly. White cord/edging refreshes and highlights the silhouette, and the lace ribbon on the bonnet adds a "festive" touch. The finish is overall neat and close to shop quality — only slightly lacking perfect uniformity of the lace texture along the hem.

Knitting method and techniques

Combined techniques: knitting with knitting needles + crochet finishing (and sewing elements for decoration)

Materials

• Baby yarn of medium thickness (about 240–280 m / 100 g), lavender — ~180–220 g (dress + bloomers + part of bonnet/booties).
• Same yarn in white for trim — ~25–40 g.
• Ribbon/lace (organza/nylon) for the bonnet ruffle — 0.4–0.7 m.
• Satin ribbon or ready bows for booties — 2 pcs (or 0.2–0.3 m of ribbon).
• Elastic tape for the bloomers' waistband — 25–35 cm.
• Matching sewing thread, sewing needle, stitch markers; optionally — thin felt/suede to reinforce the sole.

Care instructions

Hand wash or machine wash on a delicate cycle at 30°C in a laundry bag, using a liquid detergent for knits. Do not bleach. Minimal spin, do not wring. Dry flat, arranging the lace according to the pattern. Blocking/steam finishing: light steaming through a damp pressing cloth without pressing, especially on lace motifs. Remove ribbons/bows before washing where possible or secure them well to avoid deformation.
