Icy Forget-me-not ❄️

An airy discharge set combines a lacy bonnet, a short-sleeved bodysuit, high socks and a delicate pale-blue blanket. Light yarn beautifully emphasizes the botanical repeats, scalloped edges and the fine texture of stockinette. The work looks cohesive and dressy: patterns echo across all items, and the cool white-and-blue palette creates a sense of freshness. Stitches are generally even and the lace reads well, although some edges and armholes would benefit from firmer blocking. The outdoor shoot is aesthetic and gently separates the set from the green background.
Метод вязания и техники
The set is worked on knitting needles from thin smooth yarn that shows lace well. The bodysuit is mainly stockinette stitch divided by vertical bands of botanical lace. The motif repeat is formed with yarn overs, knitting two stitches together and symmetric decreases leaning right and left. The hem and sleeves are finished with a picot or scalloped edging. Armholes are shaped with decreases; neck and sleeve finishing are picked up along the edge of the fabric. The bonnet is knitted from the centre of the back of the head toward the face edge. The crown shows a radial composition of lace wedges created by a system of increases and decreases. The face edge has a wavy lacy trim and the lower part is finished with ties. This construction requires precise adherence to the repeat, especially at the transitions from the crown to the side sections. The socks are knitted in the round on double-pointed needles. The leg is decorated with the same lace motif to ensure unity in the set; the toe is formed with paired decreases. A classic heel with short rows or a small gusset and heel flap is likely, although the angle of the photos does not allow exact determination of the construction. The blanket is assembled as a single panel alternating vertical lace columns with sections of stockinette or garter stitch. A wide decorative border with large leaves and a scalloped finish runs around the perimeter. After knitting, the item requires gentle blocking to exact dimensions: this will open the yarn overs, even the edges and emphasize the geometry of the pattern.

Инструкции по уходу
Hand wash recommended at 30 °C or use a gentle machine cycle inside a mesh bag without heavy spinning. Use a liquid detergent suitable for baby knits, without bleach or conditioner. Do not wring: gently press with a towel, arrange lace according to repeats and dry flat away from radiators and direct sunlight. Wash bonnet, bodysuit and socks separately from the heavy blanket. If needed, steam from the wrong side through a damp cloth without pressing the iron into the texture. Before use by a baby, check seams, ties and for any pulled stitches.
