Plush Foxling 🦊

Charming plush set “foxling”: a romper with a hood-with-ears, a matching bonnet and booties. Bright terracotta-orange is well balanced by creamy cuffs and inserts — the look is warm and “appetizing”. The fabric appears even, with neat increases/decreases shaping the form; the button band is generally clean. The ears hold their silhouette well; ties on the bonnet and booties add functionality. Styling and presentation are almost like a shop baby brand — very successful for selling.
Knitting method and techniques
Knitting with plush (chenille) yarn. The main body of the romper is worked in a simple textured stitch based on garter stitch (or its imitation), providing density and a soft relief without “holes”. Pieces (back/fronts/sleeves/legs) are worked separately with shaping of raglan lines/caps by means of even increases and decreases, then carefully seamed. The button band is either knitted separately or picked up along the front edges with buttonholes formed (yarn over/two together or bind-off/rejoin technique). Cuffs on the sleeves and legs are worked in 1×1 or 2×2 rib in a lighter yarn for contrast and better fit. The hood is worked by casting on/picking up stitches along the neckline, then worked flat with rounding at the top using short rows or a wedge of decreases. The ears are made as separate pieces (two halves) with decreases toward the tip; the inner ear is a contrast insert; ears are then sewn into position according to markings. The bonnet and booties are made in the same yarn: the bonnet with increases at the back of the head and ties, the booties with a knitted toe and a cord/tie for fastening.
Materials

- Plush (chenille) yarn, 100% polyester: cream/milky, ~80–120 g (cuffs, ears, trim)

- Matching thread for sewing buttons (polyester)

- Tools: knitting needles ~4–6 mm (depending on gauge), darning needle for seaming knits, crochet hook for edging/hiding tails
Care instructions
Wash only delicately: by hand or machine on the “Delicate/Wool” cycle at 20–30°C, inside a laundry bag. Spin minimally (up to 400–600 rpm) or not at all — plush deforms easily. Use liquid detergent without bleach and a small amount of fabric conditioner (excess weighs the pile down). Do not rub or wring. Dry flat on a towel shaped to form, smoothing cuffs, button band and hood; away from radiators and direct sunlight. Do not hang to dry vertically on clips. Care: if the pile is crushed — gently brush with a soft brush. Periodically check button attachments for security.
