Raspberry Bunny 🐰

A festive baby set in a rich raspberry-berry shade: a bonnet with ties and a bodysuit/romper with ruffles and buttons. The texture is built on garter stitch with stockinette stitch inserts, which makes the piece look soft and “puffy,” while the ruffles add a celebratory touch. Along the bottom there is a decorative row with a slight relief that visually separates the border. The bodysuit/romper is assembled from the main garter fabric with armhole and rise shaping by decreases/increases. The button band is worked along the edge with buttonholes (yarn over + k2tog/closing and picking up), the hem is finished with a small attached/knitted ruffle: the flare is created by increases (for example, from one stitch make 2–3) and then a few rows to form a stable wave. Finish by sewing on buttons and neatly weaving in ends, after which a gentle wet blocking/steam finishing is required to even out the garter fabric.

Hand wash or delicate machine cycle at 30°C in a laundry bag, using wool/baby detergent. Do not rub or wring — press out through a towel. Dry only flat, laid out on a horizontal surface, shaping the ruffles and bands. Do not dry on a radiator or hang (it will stretch). If necessary — light steaming at a distance through a damp cloth, without pressing with the iron. Check buttons and, with active wear, periodically tighten the sewing thread.
