A delicate milky romper with a hood — that special "going-home" piece that looks truly high-end. Knitting method and techniques

Knitting with needles (alternating stockinette/seed stitch and garter), central cables with crossings, pieces knit in one or assembled after knitting with set-in sleeves/hood shaping, button band created by picking up stitches along the edge.

Materials

• Baby yarn: extra fine merino or baby acrylic/merino blend (approx. 200–300 g for size 0–6 months), color: milky/cream.
• Circular/straight knitting needles 3.0–3.5 mm (according to gauge), cable needle.
• Tapestry/ darning needle for sewing, stitch markers, measuring tape.
• Buttons 5 pcs (preferably mother-of-pearl/wood, Ø 10–12 mm).
• Cord/i-cord or twisted cord for ties + 1 pompom/tassel.

Care instructions

Washing: hand wash or delicate machine at 20–30°C, use wool/baby detergent, no bleach. Spin: minimal (up to 400 rpm) or press between towels, do not wring. Drying: lay flat on a towel, shaping cables and cuffs; do not dry on a radiator. Blocking: light steaming through a damp cloth, do not press the cables with the iron. Storage: folded in a cotton bag; for wool — protect from moths.
