Mint Cradle 🌿

A mint set for the most delicate first months combines a romper with a bib, neat booties with voluminous floral decoration, and an airy lace blanket in a cool bluish-lilac shade. Strong knots and careful weaving in of ends are especially important here. The blanket is knitted with repeating vertical lace repeats. The pattern is formed by a combination of yarn overs, together-knit decreases, stockinette, and narrow raised ribs. Symmetrical decreases create leaf-like or wavy motifs characteristic of the classical Russian school of lace knitting. The whole set shows consistent gauge. Light steaming from the wrong side through a cloth is acceptable; do not press an iron onto voluminous flowers. Wash the set before use by a child; regularly check decorative loops and flowers for secure attachment.
