Peach Bunny 🐰

The peach “bunny” set includes a bonnet with long ears, a wrap-style cardigan, a knitted romper and booties. The soft powder-peach palette nicely highlights the alternation of stockinette, lace panels and textured trims. Stitches look even, the pieces hold their shape well, and the ties support a cohesive romantic look. The blue lace blanket and stuffed textile bear work well as props, although a bright sun spot on one bootie is slightly distracting. The work gives a professional and very warm impression.

The set is worked predominantly with knitting needles from a fine baby yarn. The main fabric of the romper and the lower part of the cardigan is worked in stockinette stitch: knit stitches on right-side rows and purl stitches on wrong-side rows. The bands and edges are finished in garter stitch or a small seed (pearl) stitch, which reduces curling of the fabric and creates a neat textured frame. The lace sections are built on a rhythmic alternation of yarn overs and knit-together decreases. Vertical lanes on the bonnet form an elongated pattern, while the pattern on the front panels and booties appears denser and more relief-like. Increases and decreases are distributed symmetrically; the lace direction emphasizes the shape of the pieces. The cardigan is constructed as a wrap and is secured with ties, likely made as an i-cord or a narrow knitted band. The bonnet is shaped with rows of gradual decreases at the back of the head. The long ears are either worked separately or continued from the side sections, then neatly attached. The booties are worked from the cuff toward the foot: after the lace ankle, the instep, side sections and a rounded toe are shaped. A final wet-blocking/steam finish opened the lace and evened the stockinette, though delicate seams and join points would be best shown additionally in technical photographs.

Hand wash recommended at 30 °C in cool water with a liquid wool or delicate-fiber detergent. Do not soak for long, do not rub lace areas and do not wring. After rinsing, gently press out water using a terry towel. Dry each item flat, reshaped, on a horizontal surface, aligning ears, bands and booties to shape. Do not use a tumble dryer or chlorine-based products. If needed, steam through a damp cloth without pressing the iron into the texture. Store clean and dry, preferably with moth protection. Do not leave long ties on a child unattended and do not use while sleeping.
