Powder Pink Leaves 🌿

A delicate set in a powder-rose shade unites a cardigan, romper, bonnet and miniature socks. A pronounced lace “leaf” motif repeats across all pieces, creating a cohesive, dressy look. Stockinette stitch is neatly balanced by garter-stitch bands, and decorative buttons add a light vintage accent. The fabric looks even, shaping is confident, and the lace is well opened. Particularly successful are the consistency of details and professional presentation; only the monochrome palette slightly limits the visual depth of the set.

This combination stabilizes the fabric and prevents edges from curling heavily. Relief columns are left between motifs to emphasize the symmetry of the composition. The cardigan was most likely worked in separate pieces or as one piece to the armholes with subsequent shaping of the fronts and back. The sleeves are in stockinette with neat increases; cuffs are garter stitch. The front bands were picked up together with the main fabric or knitted on afterwards; buttonholes are formed by binding off and then casting on stitches. The romper repeats the central lace and has anatomical increases and decreases for shaping. The bonnet is worked flat in rows: the lace panel continues to the back of the head, then the edge is bound off or finished with a garter band; ties are made as an i-cord. The socks are worked in the round, with a lace upper, a shaped heel and toe. After assembly the set, judging by how the motif opened, underwent a gentle wet-blocking/heat treatment.

Hand wash or use the wool/delicate cycle at no more than 30 °C. Use a liquid detergent without bleach or enzymes; do not soak the item for long or scrub. Rinse at the same temperature to avoid felting. Do not wring: gently press out water using a terry towel. Dry flat in shape on a horizontal surface, first arranging the lace leaves and bands. Do not dry on a radiator, in direct sunlight or in a dryer. If needed, steam through a damp cloth without pressing. Store folded, not on a hanger. Before each use check that buttons and bonnet ties are securely attached.
