Little Rose in the Clouds 🌸

An airy set for a newborn that evokes a delicate cloud: a snow-white cardigan with ruffles, pants, a pointed hat and booties are decorated with miniature roses with green leaves. Smooth fabrics combine beautifully with an elastic ribbing and voluminous trim. The piece looks especially expressive against the background of a lilac-blue lace blanket with a raised botanical pattern. The ruffle runs along the neckline and the front, giving the model a dressy look. The pants are worked in stockinette with elastic lower cuffs. For a comfortable fit there is an added gusset and extra room for a diaper. The booties are shaped from the cuff toward the foot with construction of the instep and toe; the decorative edge resembles a small ruffle. The roses are likely twisted from a narrow satin ribbon and stitched on by hand; the leaves are embroidered with green thread. The lilac-blue blanket is knit with needles in a lace botanical pattern featuring yarn overs, paired decreases and raised vertical repeats. After knitting, the pieces are sewn together with a mattress stitch, ends are secured carefully, and the items are given a gentle blocking.

Hand wash is recommended or a delicate machine cycle at no higher than 30 °C in a laundry bag. Use a liquid wool or baby detergent without bleach or aggressive stain removers. Do not soak for a long time, do not rub the ruffles or embroidered roses. Rinse in water at the same temperature to avoid shrinkage. Do not wring: gently press out through a terry towel. Dry flat on a level surface, shaping the bands, cuffs, booties and the lace blanket into form. Do not dry on a radiator or in direct sunlight. Ironing is not recommended; if necessary, light steaming from the wrong side is allowed without touching the satin decorations with the iron sole. Store folded rather than on a hanger. Check buttons and roses before each use.
