Pink Fairy 🧚

A delicate set for a baby combining a pink romper with ruffle-wings, an openwork bonnet and miniature booties with ties. The smooth fabric is nicely accented by rows of neat eyelets and garter edging, and the soft pastel palette creates an airy mood. A sky-blue lace blanket with expressive botanical panels serves as a striking complement and emphasizes the warmth of the pink shade. The work looks cohesive and professional: the fit on a doll is convincing, the stitches are even, and the pieces are well coordinated with each other.
Метод вязания и техники
The set is knitted with knitting needles from fine baby yarn, using a fairly dense and stable gauge. The main body of the romper is worked in stockinette stitch: knit stitches on right-side rows and purl stitches on wrong-side rows. The bodice features vertical groups of simple lace formed by yarn-overs and knitting two stitches together. This distribution of eyelets keeps a calm rhythm and does not disturb the fabric's drape. The lower part of the romper is shaped with increases and decreases for an anatomical fit. The waistline is emphasized by a change in density or a row of decreases. Armholes are finished in garter stitch, and the decorative wings are picked up along the armholes and widened with frequent increases; this creates a soft wavy edge. Lower edges are finished with a narrow band to prevent stockinette from curling. The bonnet is worked either from the crown or from the front edge with subsequent shaping of the nape. The main pattern is stockinette with evenly spaced eyelet spots. The edge is framed with a small picot or scalloped finish, and the ties are made as narrow cords. The booties are knitted in garter stitch with a separately shaped sole, toe and cuff; the upper is finished with a tie. The blue blanket is worked from a complex lace repeat with botanical motifs. Vertical leaves are formed by a system of yarn-overs, paired decreases and central stitches. Between motifs run raised columns that maintain the geometry of the fabric. Gentle wet-blocking with size fixation is essential to open this lace.

Инструкции по уходу
Hand wash recommended at 30 °C (86 °F) in cool water with a wool or delicate fiber detergent. Do not soak for a long time, do not rub or wring. After washing gently blot with a towel, shape the lace and dry flat away from radiators and direct sunlight. Bonnet and booties are best dried with soft stuffing to retain shape. Do not use bleach or tumble dry. If needed, steam from the wrong side through a damp cloth without pressing the iron to the fabric. Regularly check ties for security before use; an infant should wear the bonnet only under constant adult supervision.
