Bunny Snowball 🐰

A delicate knitted romper for a baby in a milky-white palette with a hood and long “bunny” ears — it looks very cozy and festive. The fabric is worked in stockinette stitch fairly evenly; cuffs and hem are finished in rib, ties are neat, and the fit on the body appears soft and comfortable. A light speckle/metallic shimmer in the yarn adds subtle interest to the texture, and the styling with red hearts makes the piece expressive and marketable.
Knitting method and techniques
Knitting with needles; stockinette stitch + rib, hood with sewn-on ears, neat seaming and finishing (blocking/steam pressing).
Materials
- Baby yarn in milky-white (merino/acrylic or blended wool), a possible addition of lurex/speckles — approximately 180–250 g
- Circular/DP needles US 1.5–4 / 2.5–3.5 mm (adjust to your gauge)
- Tapestry/knitting needle for sewing, stitch markers, scissors
- Cord/ties made from the same yarn (i-cord / twisted cord) — 2 pcs
- If needed: thin elastic thread for stabilizing the hood edge (optional)
Care instructions
Hand wash or gentle machine cycle at 30°C in a mesh bag, using a liquid wool/baby detergent. Do not rub or wring: press out water in a towel. Dry flat on a towel, shaping the hood and ears. Steam only through a damp press cloth on minimal steam without pressing (especially if lurex is present). Store folded, not on a hanger, to avoid stretching.
