Beer Mug Socks 🍺

Ironic "beer" slipper-socks shaped like mugs — a very striking gift idea. The leg texture mimics the ribs of a mug, with "foam" on top made from white fluffy yarn, and a neatly sewn-on handle at the side. A red little shrimp/decoration adds character and immediately sets the mood. Overall the technique is confident, but on the foot there are small tension inconsistencies and a slightly "eaten" toe shape — the item would benefit from a final wet-heat finishing and a neater fit on the foot.

The upper "foam" is made separately from fluffy yarn (bouclé/velvet) in a low-elastic fabric; its edge is intentionally voluminous to imitate a foamy head. The mug handle is made as a separate piece (most likely crocheted in single crochet stitches or knitted as a strip and then sewn) and attached to the side of the leg. The shrimp/decoration is crocheted: dense single crochet stitches, small increases/decreases for shaping, legs and antennae made from chains of chain stitches; eyes are beads/half-beads. Final assembly involves sewing on the decor and securing yarn ends; a light steam/wet finish (blocking) is recommended to even out the stitches.

Hand wash or delicate machine cycle at 30°C in a laundry bag. Use a mild wool/delicate detergent, no bleach. Minimal spin (do not wring), blot with a towel. Dry flat, shaping the foot and the "foam," away from radiators and direct sunlight. Check the decoration (shrimp and handle) for secure sewing before washing; reinforce with extra stitches if needed. If pilling appears, remove with a pill remover on a low setting, avoiding the fluffy "foam."
