Hand wash separately from the doll in water not above 30 °C. Use a small amount of liquid wool or delicate fabric detergent; do not soak for long or rub the lace. After rinsing, gently press the item between towels to remove excess water without wringing. Dry flat in a spread-out position, first aligning the repeats and the scalloped edge. Shape the beret on a rounded block of the appropriate size. Do not dry on a radiator, do not use machine spin or bleach. If needed, steam from the wrong side through a cloth, avoiding pressing the iron into the fuzzy yarn.
